Why are all of my downloads pending?!?!

Seems that a factory reset does the trick. The only downside is that when it comes back to life, all of the apps you were trying to update/download are still in the que. Looks like i'll have installing going on for a while. Thanks for all of your input!

I fixed this by disallowing several apps from running in the background.
