Why can't I access Office 365 on my Lumia 1026?

I cannot access Office 365 on my Lumia 1026.

I understand from the User Guide that Microsoft Office Mobile should give access to Word, Excel etc.

However when I try to sign in it does not accept my email address/password combination.

When I obtained my first 1026, in Jan 2014 I have a recollection that access was readily available but have not used it.

It should just be a setup on the main page of the Office App preinstalled on your Windows Phone. There is no special App required.
