Why can't I adjust the brightness on my Surface Pro 3?

I Cannot Adjust Brightness (Surface Pro 3)

I cannot adjust my brightness.

I am in windows 10, and when I swipe the action center into view, the brightness option is faded out, and cannot be interacted with. I even tried going into my power settings, and adjusting the slider changes nothing at all...

The screen is burning my eyes as we speak as it emits 100% of its brightness power.

Go to Settings>System>Display

Have you can adjust it there and also check you haven't 'Change brightness automatically when lighting changes' turned on.

Does Fn+Backspace decrease your brightness?
