Why can't I download items from my sound recorder to my documents?

why cant i download items from my sound recorder to my documents

i recorded songs on my sound recorder and i want to move them some where i can burn them on a cd. Most likely to my documents

Hook up the recorder to your pc via USB. Then just copy and paste them to your pc.
