Why can't I open my music app?

I have a windows phone htc 8x. I haven't had any problems with the music app, but then I just recently downloaded the phone update to windows 8.1, and now when I click on the app, it just immediately closes out. I tried to open music using cortana but it still does the same thing. I've unpinned it from the home page and then did a soft reset on my phone and repinned it and it still won't work. Any suggestions?

There might be possible app updates after a firmware/OS update ..
Goto store check for updates.
Update all the apps.
