Why do expert reviewers never have any issues with new gadgets that regular users do?

Then I guess all Android, iPhone, iPad, windows desktop, MacBook and servers are terrible. Most updated are tested but there are always always always issues. Don't kid yourself. Even if it's a full release, it's really a beta perpetually because people always find issues with software.

you obviously don't get my point, these bugs you are talking about appear after testing. companies, do their best to not let them get out. and their patches are also tested. and cycle goes on.

but if the software is not ready before 2 weeks of launch, when was the testing? i think the people are testing.

I have my surface 2 for more than a year now, my keyboard still loses connection with the surface for some reason.

that is simply poor quality.

Maybe: 1. We pay for the products ourselves. So, we could be extra picky. 2. We have more time to play with the units than reviewers. 3. During the time the reviewers received their units and the time the products were released, manufacturers made some changes which caused the issues. I hope all the issues that have been mentioned have been fixed with the recent software and firmware updates.

I take my car in to the dealer for an oil change and a tire rotation and when I return to pick it up, I look at the paperwork and it has new firmware\software applied to it. It's the Brave New World. All kinds of products we purchase are released "into the wild" with software that is going to be continuously developed.
