Why does my Acer Aspire 3 laptop keep beeping after it has been opened for a while

As said above - when using my laptop, after a few minutes an intermittent beeping occurs. I took the laptop to the shop from where I bought it. After connecting it to the internet for several hors no beeping occurred! Consequently, they are not sure why the beeping is happening.

Can you tell us at what point the beep occurs, e.g. is it before Windows boots up? And what do the beeps sound like? Is it short or long beeps? How many beeps are there? Usually beeps indicate a hardware fault of some kind.
