Why does my lock button only work sometimes?

My lock button is sometimes not working

I have this issue on my phone, a lumia 920, regarding with the lock button. It is not working sometimes, I can't wake my phone by pressing it. When I do a soft reset, the issue is fixed, but by unknown reason, the problem strikes again at no particular time pattern. I have a suspicion that the new update in glance screen is the reason, but I'm not sure of this.

I faced a same issue. My phone doesn't have glance.

Guys its because, you might have installed that buggy "5 minute home workout" app. Even mine crashed, though I tried soft reset, its not working fine. Hard reset seems the only solution

Yes I had installed that app

On Windowsphone 8.1 its really slow... use double tap to wake up screen its working good...
