Why does my Lumia 1520 video plays on the phone but not in my PC?

Lumia 1520 video plays on the phone but not in my PC

I have 3 Lumia phones, a 920, a 1020, and a 1520. With each I just attach a USB, copy the camera roll files to my PC. With the first two, I open the video mp4 files and Windows Media player has no problem. Not with the 1520, it says: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Quicktime chokes on it too. But the video opens on the 1520 itself. So ... incredibly ... frustrating.

Have you updated to Denim? Shooting 4K video?

Have you ever installed a codec pack on your computer like this one? Codec Guide: K-Lite Codec Pack - For XP, Vista, Windows 7 and 8

Have tried using video trimmer's OneDrive upload? Reason I said this is I tried copying aswell & there was no file extension so I assume this raw file is something only xbox video can open & apparently trimmer
