Why does my Lumia 735 delete contacts when I edit them?

My Lumia 735 deletes contacts when I edit them

Every time I edit a contact & tap save the contact is actually deleted from my phone book, any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Hmmm, we would need more details in order to help concretely. Perhaps some screenshots on the steps being done should provide useful information.
