why does my phone keep restarting when i open an app

it started yesterday and at first I thought it was nothing but then when I opened an app it restarted again and again so I cant do anything on my phone or it willrestart I tried hard reset but it restarts before it starts the reset and I tried windowsdevice recovery tool but it isn't working because when it starts my phone just restarts and loses conection to the pc please I need help and don't sugest nokia care center because its too far from my home

Hi, try a factory reset using the button combination.

Performing a factory reset using phone buttons
Turn the power off.
Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button. Release the VOLUME DOWN button when you see an icon on the screen.
Then press the following hardware buttons in sequence: VOLUME UP > VOLUME DOWN > POWER > VOLUME DOWN.

What happens when you leave the phone on charge? Does it restart?
Also try reseating the battery and removing the SIM, sd card (if installed) and powering up.

I tried removing the sim card that dindt help and I don't have an sd card and while the mobile phone is on charge it doesn't restart but I still cant open any app because it will restart

What about trying the factory reset using the buttons, with the phone on charge (and SIM card removed)?
Also what percentage does you battery show?

I tried that it doesn't work it just restarts again when I almost finish the buton combination and the battery shows 80 percent but its always difrent and I noticed that the time and date are mesed up toois it the problem in the os if it is how can I fix it (windows device recovery tool doesn't work cause i cant falsh the phone bcs it restarrts)it just hapend since yesterday and i dint hit the ohne or something it just started to restart before yesterday it worked perfect

Put a piece of paper on the right side of battery

lumia 520 for a year and half and its not about the battery cause i already had that problem before and fixed it this is difrent it only restarts when i open an app i think this has something to do with the os but don't know how to fix it

It's starting to sound like a hardware fault.
Are you able to check how much space is available on the phone? Perhaps the onboard storage is nearly full.

no because it restarts told you when I open an app it restarts after 3 seconds or so

It may be worth trying the old Lumia Software Recovery Tool.

why cant I even flash my phone why does it restart even then how can I stopthat so I can atleast do a reinstall of the software with the windows recovery tool

Hi, like I mentioned earlier it is starting to sound like a hardware fault.
A replacement battery may be worth trying at this stage. They appear quite cheap on Amazon.
