My phone refuses to sleep/ wake up post denim update

Post upgrading to Lumia Denim, my Lumia 720 refuses to sleep/ wake up. I can't even switch it off

Probably during the OTA update to denim you got a glitch.
Did you already do a soft reset.
Hold down, power and volume down, simultaneously till the phone vibrates.

If this does not help you should do a factory reset but be aware that this erases all the data on your phone so first be sure that you make an backup.
