Why does my phone say "no service" after unlocking device and entering new carrier SIM card?

I recently unlocked my Lumia 520 but now when I put in my working SIM card it says no service. Please help

Are you sure you unlocked it correctly? If it is unlocked, it should read the new sim. I unlocked my 930 last week. My UK service provider gave me a rather long code that, when you get to about 5 numbers from the end, the phone doesn't appear to register them, but it does.
