Why does my Windows Phone 8.1 keep asking for a Microsoft account password?

windows phone 8.1 keeps asking for microsoft account password

This morning out of the blue my WP 8.1 (Lumia 520) started asking me for my for microsoft account password. Before this happened I was able to read my e-mails from my main MS e-mail account, but not anymore because now it keeps asking the above mentioned question. Anybody else experiencing this probem? Does anybody have a solution?

It may be a localized server error... These things do happen from time to time.
