Why does Nokia Lumia 635 not work with Google + in locations?

I have an iphone, my husband has a Lumia 635. Mine works with Google + location sharing, his does not. They're both windows phones, what's the deal? Is there another app that we can use? Any help is appreciated.

First, an iPhone is not an Windows Phone. It's an Apple device. Windows Phone is a Microsoft device.

Next, Google+ doesn't work with Windows Phone because Google hates Microsoft. There are no Google apps for Windows Phone except for some 3rd party ones and no Google+ currently.
