Why Does Skype Video Chatting Absolutely SUCK on Windows Phone 8.1
I have a Lumia Icon & 1020 before it and time after time when I'm on a Skype video chat with someone on my phone it's just a nightmare of problems, I freeze, they freeze, I can't see them, they can see me. It's just ridiculous and embarrassing at this point in the OS/smartphone game. Microsoft really has to step up to the plate and offer all of us loyal Windows phone users an app that actually works. I am running the latest version and it is just absolutely crap drops out, freezes horrible video quality, it's like Microsoft doesn't even care... It's been like this forever now. I had an iPhone 5, 4S, and 4 and FaceTime worked like a charm, little to no problems at all, even back when it was fresh. Microsoft can't argue its because of my hardware either its 720P video for chatting at most if I'm not mistaken, My Icon has a Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 with 2GB's of RAM, my iPhone 4 had a single 1GHZ processor and it was fine with FaceTime. And it's certainly not my internet, I get 60Mbps down and almost 10Mbps up tested and I connect to an 802.11n network!
Come on Microsoft, anyone else feel me? We should start a movement to fix this now!
