Why does the screen blank (black) when I answer the phone or dial a number?

Just got build 10536 and haven't tried this yet, but every time I answer the phone or dial a number the screen blanks. When the phone call ends the screen remain blank. Is there a way I can have the screen display still show when the phone hangs up? Thanks in advance.
