I updated my Lumia 630 to the latest built of Windows 10 Mobile and since then the phone doesn't ring when I get messages neither does the notification icon shows. Do you know what can I do to fix it?

Thank you!

1. Did you do a hard reset after the upgrade? This usually fixes most issues people are experiencing.

2. On your Settings / Notifications & Actions screen, are the apps in question set to ON for showing the notifications? Do they have a sound associated with them?

Thank you for your answer. Sorry for being late to reply. All my settings have been set to ON and a sound has been associated.
How can I make a hard reset? Thanks!

Shutdown your phone. Then switch it on after you pressed lock button once, hold both volume down and lock until you see an exclamatory (!) mark on ur screen... This is how to hard reset phone. This will reset all your phone's hardware comments also.

Or: Settings -> System -> About and at the bottom, "Reset your phone".

Hard reset is not necessary, but you must check if you have enabled moreover notification for every email account in outlook!!!

That will reset your phone to factory and you WILL loose all your unsaved data. Previous poster was right, power and volume down, will do reset but keep all your data.

G Vinay's description also said it was how to do a hard reset, which is why I posted my comment. I suppose it was actually a soft reset with Volume Down and Lock.

Man the audio notifications is a mess with W10, IHMO. It took me forever to get the audio to work, out of the box. Then trying to get custom ringtones... Aaarrrrgggh!! In the Notifications and Actions, I literally had 0 (zero) apps in the list. It was only after I set a custom ringtone for a text to my own account, then texting myself was I able to get a list of apps and modify their settings.

WP8 and WP8.1 worked right from the start.
