Windows Central Question

Windows 10 desktop won't display wallpaper

I upgrade to Windows 10 from 7.1 today and everything seems to be working fine, but it won't display any desktop images. Trying to select one of the images in the customization screen or another image using the search option won't result in any changes. Right clicking an image and setting it as background image doesn't work also. I checked the Ease of Access options and it is set to display Windows background.

Solid color backgrounds work correctly. Slide show seems to be not available.

Can you help me, please?

Hi,

Try this...

Go Setting/ Ease of Access/ Other Options

Check if the option for background is on win on.JPG

Are you guys able to view your photos/pics in the photos app? Have you downloaded all the updates from the store?

Might not have anything to do with it, but I remember once not being able to set a wallpaper until I updated the Photos app. Check for updates in the store, download and install them, reboot, and try again.

Ok, that worked. Seems they are trying their best to make Win 10 really suck.
It can be really frustrating when you select something and it does not work and will not tell you why, which in this case was another setting preventing it from working.
