Why dont we have seperate Volume sliders?

I know this is probably been asked hundreds of times about WP, but why dont we have seperate Music/Media Volume and Ringer/Notifications volumes.

I mean really MS / Nokia, do Google/Andoid have the Patent on Seperate volume sliders for each section or
is this a reaction to the MS / Google war over YouTube thats been raging for months now... hehe .

This is actually a health risk, you have your ringer set to 25-30, but you forget, plug your headphones in and WOW.. blasting your head off.or
You forget to turn your ringer volume back up after your listening.. and miss an important call.

Surely someone else feels my pain.

Because no, the system was designed that way, we don't know why. WP8.1 will have two volume sliders.
