Why has the start menu/Cortana vanished from my recently upgraded Lumia 830?

Just got in to the preview program and downloaded the update to windows 10. It's totally locked on the apps list screen with no way to get to the start menu or access Cortana.

I've never heard of that before. Have you tried pinning any apps? Maybe somehow your Start screen is empty.

If nothing else, a hard reset may fix that. Good luck!
