Why I get blue screen in windows xp setup

Hi I’m trying to install windows xp on compaq presario c700 from 2007
When I get to setup is iniatilising windows screen goes black with blinking underscore for a minute and then I get blue screen with process1_initialization_failed
I tried to turn off sata but it doesn’t change anything
I’m booting from pendrvie because disc drive broke down

Why are you installing XP?

Are you sure it's booting from the install media and not skipping to the internal drive + current OS install?
