Why is Kids Corner on Windows Phone pinned locked as well?

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of it if I still need to type my pin in to the phone for someone else to use kids corner?

It is designed so that you unlock the phone and give it to your kid(s).

This way you know your kid(s) have your phone and not misplaced it or they are using it without permission or they have hid it some where :winktongue:.

lol I use it for adults. It keeps them out of the other apps when I let them borrow it but I don't like having to hide the phone as type my pin in to give it to them.
