Why is my Bluetooth name displaying as Windows Phone after changing the name using my computer?

Bluetooth name dispay as "Windows Phone" after changing name using computer

My WP8.1 Nokia 920 when connected to via Bluetooth shows Windows Phone instead of the new name Kevin's Nokia.
New name displays correctly in the about screen, but when connected to other devices (car, computer) via Bluetooth is shows Windows Phone.

How do I get the updated name to display correctly?

I've seen this happen before, especially after restoring a backup. On your computer (with the Windows Phone app if running Windows 8 or 8.1 on your computer), try changing the name again. Then change it back to the name you want and see if it shows up correctly via Bluetooth.
