why my lumia 720 is not downloading whatsapp videos?

i had reinstalled the app also but the video downloading is not working.
Since 06.01.2016, I am unable to download videos in whatsapp chat. it seems to start but stop. the only change I had done is cleared the chat history which is 6 months old. the problem is with every contact. I had soft reset the mobile several times but all in vain. pl help.
