Why is my Lumia 950 showing a blue screen with sad face?

I had just charged my phone. It was on the lock screen on the table when I noticed it lit up and had a blue screen with a sad smiley. It shut itself off and restarted several times to only reach the blue sad screen. I have no phone functions at all. I tried soft reset, took the battery out for awhile but I am unable to get it past Microsoft black screen then to the blue screen. Help me please. I am going out of town in 5 hours with no sleep and need my phone!

You need to use the Windows Phone Recovery tool provided by Microsoft and reset using the instructions.
