Why is my music not recognized on my phone? It keeps putting it in the Other category.

My HTC Windows 8s phone has worked fine with my SD card until recently, where I've put music onto the SD card and my phone hasn't recognized it as Music, it just puts in the Other category. I've tried using Windows Media Player, File Explorer, the Windows phone software, and they all end up with the same result.
