Why is my screen off, even though am able to hear the rining tone if somebody is callin

I have a Nokia Lumia 1320. About two hours ago, my screen just went black when i tried to press the side button so that i make a call the screen is just black. when someone is calling me am able to hear the phone ringing, but can answer i cannot see anything. What could be the problem and what should i do?

Power off and on. It's an issue since the last few releases.

Better yet, try a Soft Reset. From powered on, hold the Volume Down + Power buttons until the phone reboots. You don't loose data, but it blows the "gunk" out of memory.
