why is my xbox music on my window phone timing out?

when I click on music app, I suddenly found that I can only be on that xbox music app for only about ten seconds even if i am active on the app, it just simply reverts to the the previous screen/ windows home screen. This makes it virtually impossible to do anything else on the app except hit play
