Why is the battery draining while my laptop is shut down in Windows 10?

If the drain in battery is a little, then it should be normal. If not, it's probably a Windows 10 bug.

I know for sure it's a problem with Intel Management interface. My Dell 7537 had same issue. To fix that I used older version on Intel software. I also went back to Win 8.1 till Ms came up with anniversary update and did distupgrade from 8.1 to 10 and that worked!

If you have remote device like keyboard or mouse then turn it OFF before you shut down, if that doesn't work then remove the USB transmitter from the laptop. Worked for me from 100% overnight loss to no loss at all. Dell's only solution was "buy a new battery from us !!!"

Hi,

turn off any remote devices like keyboard or mouse, if necessary remove the USB transmitter which is constantly transmitting to you keyboard /mouse.
