Why is the sound quality of key strokes and the maps guidance so choppy and distorted?

Why is the sound quality of key strokes and the maps guidance so choppy and distorted

when tapping through the tiles and entering text the sound is not consistent. when the voice guidance is active ( maps) it is distorted and sounds like the speaker is damaged. Music and other audio play normally.
