Windows Central Question

I was checking the storage overview and then I saw that the memory needed for the system was increased from approximately 3,5 GB to 9,32 GB. I have a Lumia 830. This is more than half of the total memory (16GB). I didn't update anything. So is this normal???
the system runs 8.10.14219.341.
Thanks for helping

I've heard that the windows phone OS system will increase in size if its not being used (if you have free space its wasted space) it's supposed to shrink as needed when you start filling up, if it doesn't, then its a bug. I have seen quite a few threads over this issue as well as the other storage issue, for both of them the only reliable fix has been to factory restore it.

That's definitely not normal. Try a soft reset (holding vol down + power until the Nokia logo appears), then clearing temporary files in Storage Sense, and if that doesn't do anything use a storage cleaner app like this: http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=7112c24b-3e72-4dd2-8105-606e9d04b58f
