Why is WP Update so slow?

As title really. My L530 takes ages checking for updates over wifi. Downloads are quick once it gets started then the preparing for install which takes ages and the dreaded gears, anyone else as impatient as me?

Where are you from? (or technically, where is your phone from?) Checking for phone updates takes a lot of time in some countries. (idk why, probably something to do with encumbered servers). And since your 530 has only 512 MBs of RAM, it'll take much more time for the updates to install than, say, a 535 (which has 1 GB RAM).

I am in UK but check for updates over Wifi and the download quick, its just the checking and installing that takes the time.

no problems with mine in india.works fast on 3g also
