Why isn't my App Update showing that it is available?

Like android app, it should show that update is available .

Which version are you running Windows phone 8.1 or 10? If 10 then there's a bug in the store which will be fixed eventually and if 8.1 try restart. Since you are not specific about your problem go to store settings there you will find update apps automatically check if it's on or off if its on then apps would be updating automatically in the background and you would know if an app has been updated or not. Or there is check for updates button under settings try that.
