Why isn't my sim card being detected?

Sim Card Not Dectected

I am on the T-Mobile Walmart Family Plan. I have a sim card that I put into my Nokia Lumia 635 which is also a T-Mobile phone. But it says no Sim Card Found. Can anyone offer me some Idea or advice of why or what I can do? Thank you so much.

Can you put a regular T-Mobile SIM card in it? If that card is also not recognized then you might have a bad SIM reader. If the phone is under warranty MSFT will fix it for you for free.

If you just bought the phone at walmart, if you show them the phone and the problem it has; they maybe able to replace the phone.

If you do get the replacement phone (and if possible) seen if the phone works before leaving the store.
