Why won't my gmail account work on the Lumia 950?

Every time I try to log in to any of my gmail accounts (personal or school), after I enter in my email addresses and respective passwords, the page just reroutes me back to the log in screen for my email address. Please help!

This is on the mail app? Do you use the add email account followed by add gmail? And are you authorising your lumia to be able to access your gmail?

Other option would be open gmail on edge and keep that open. It's what I used to do for a few years before windows mobile 10 came out
