Why won't my Lumia 735 install build 10581?

My Lumia 735 won't install build 10581

I am running a Lumia 735 with build 10549 and am enrolled on the Windows Insider Fast Ring. I've done a soft reset and re-enrolled in Windows Insider Fast Ring. The installs don't complete downloading.

Any thoughts?

Mine is stuck at zero dont know what to do.

Mine was stuck at 4% for ages.
.. Try going to Store. I found several apps (outlook, groove, rate us, maps....) being updated but also not showing any progress, so I paused these and went back updating the TP. Took several tries. It took a while to go to 26%. Again, it got stuck for a long time. I think my line was slow though... I check the progress after and hour and it was at 67%.. darn. I went to sleep ... Woke up this morning and .. hooray!! My 920 is fast again!!!

Now "Downloading updates 22%". Fingers crossed. Again.

Downloading updates 22%...again...hopeful again.

same here and later it gives some error code which says ;some files missing'....

No luck on hard reset and then backing up from build 10549. I tried again by re-enrolling in Windows Insider Fast Ring, but again, I get the same errors for installing as before.

This shouldn't be needed, but perhaps you guys should downgrade to 8.1 using the windows devices recovery tool and then upgrade back to 10 will take some time tho

I tried it too am thinking of skipping this build and see if the new one the upgrade bug is fixed, i did hard reset thrice, the build has become so responsive using 10549 on lumia 520.

I set lock screen to never lock which speeded up the download and preparing to install part. Got this tip from Gabe auls twitter.

Now resetting again to factory settings. I plan to install Windows 8.1 then enroll in Fast Ring. This is the last option I have...unless anyone knows any other ideas.

I did a hard reset. Did an initial startup with Windows 8.1 with no restore to old backup. Somehow I reverted back to Windows 10, build 10549, the same one I was running before. Never saw it happen, it did. Re-enrolled in Windows Insider Fast Ring. Now stuck at "Downloading upates 21%". :winktongue:

Is this a bug on build 10581, that's causing download to get stuck or its the bug in the previous builds.

No it's not a bug or at least not one that has been a problem for many users, but from time to time the update progress can get stuck and a soft reset can help it get back on track. I've been in the same position once or twice
