Why won't my Nokia Lumia 625 turn on/off?

my nokia lumia 625 won't turn on/off

I had the radio on my phone, when to turn the volume up but the screen just stayed black? Nothing happen with the volume and now the phone won't do anything, won't turn on or off, won't reset, I've tried plugging it in to a laptop and still nothing. The radio is still playing through the headphones. Can I take the battery out??

you could openup the device and remove the battery but it will void warranty. my suggestion is let it play till the battery is empty and see what it does after that. Probably it starts to charge and all is fine again.
But very strange that the soft reset does not work.
