Why won't my Nokia Lumia Icon turn on?

[Windows Central Question]

my nokia lumina icon will no longer turn on.

Whether plugged in or not, my device will not turn on. Is there anything we can do without going into the carriers store for help ?

1) Have you tried holding the volume down and power button?

2) Was it dropped or submerged in water?
