Why wont my OS downgrade?

I've used the nokia software recovery tool on my nokia lumia 1020 to try and downgrade my OS today from the developers update which was done a while back. But after it installed the software it said was available nothing seems to of changed after it installed. I'm really eager to get the newest update so I would love some help with this! Thank you!

The Nokia tool will simply install the latest firmware available fo your phone which now is probably the same version. It's not meant to downgrade in any way and I don't even know why you would do it, the argument has been discussed widely on some hundreds topics
