Why won't Windows 10 install?

windows wont install

when i try and install windows 10 it goes through the entire installation process and when my PC starts up afterwards its windows 8 and control panel comes up ans says one item has failed to install and it asks me to install it and i do and then it goes through the windows 10 installation process again and is still windows 8 is thare a fix?

That depends on which problem you are running into. I'd suggest creating an account here on Windows Central, join our community and help everyone out by sharing details of what is wrong. Do you get some kind of error code from Windows Update? What stage is it in when the failure occurs?
