Why would a 2.1A charger charge slower than a 2A on a 930?

My gf got a 2A charger with her tablet and we use it to charger out phones as well. It charges them fast. I bought a STATUS 2.1A charger for myself and it took hours to charge. Does the L930 have a maximum charging rate?

Was the charger really cheap?

If it is then you are most likely getting a lower output.
