Wi-Fi after 8.1

Seems like connection speed is much slower after installing 8.1 preview. Can anyone please confirm?

Yep.
And my app up updates in store kind of stop if phone is locked as Wi-Fi gets turned off temporarily.

Mine seems unchanged, but I've taken to not using it much as I have the laggy unlock screen/start button when WiFi is turned on.
