Hi everyone

My wifi settings appear to be intermittent. Sometimes at home wifi shows as off when I swipe down from the top, when I go into Settings wifi shows as on but the button is greyed out and my network isn't shown.

Is there a reason for this that I'm missing?

Thanks for reading :)

Yes - my phone powers off and straight back on again (it doesn't seem to stay powered off), when I power it on again it seems ok.

Could it be something to do with battery saver?

I don't think it's battery saver, but you can try to turn it off and see if it helps. Otherwise, of you don't get any other advice you could try a hard reset, but that will delete all data on your phone

I was really hoping to avoid a hard reset... I will try turning battery saver off and see if it makes a difference, although that wont be a cure as such!

Right, everything was fine until I turned on Bluetooth and listened to music in my car. When I got home, there was no wifi connection, and when i went into wifi settings it was greyed out as before. Bluetooth was still enabled, then I switched off BT. WiFi still greyed out. Back to BT - that was greyed out too. Only a power down has sorted it out - does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this - I don't want to have to hard reset again if at all possible, it was a pain last time!

I had same problem - hard reset only solved it temporarily. I had to get the handset replaced and everything seems OK now.

I had the same problem with my Lumia 720. Greyed Wifi switch and hanged... problem was... SD CARD - when I move out card and restart phone everything working perfectly but when I put inside SD CARD then WiFi grayed out, sometimes Bluetooth also not working correcty, phone sometimes hanged or load OS very long
My SD CARD was SanDisk 16 GB class 10 - maybe because I never formated that card even when I bought it so I formated sd card (full not quick format) on my PC with FAT32.
Now everything works fine!
