will 8.1 rt be released early??

hi all,
so, i am thinking msft is going to release 8.1 rt before oct 18th.
1) they are only oem planning new rt devices, so don't need to give the other oems lead time
2) they took the preview down while the 8.1 full is still up.
3) need some positive buzz for rt amongst all of these oems coming down on it!

what do you think? wishful thinking?

typing this on my new/refurbished $199 64 gb rt.

I doubt it. I don't recall Microsoft ever releasing a new version of Windows earlier than the stated date.

They're still polishing up 8.1 with patches that will be released between now and October... so I'd say no, there's not a chance of it happening.

I would stop issuing licenses to the OEMs who are publicly badmouthing the OS. There has to be something in their licensing agreement for making malicious statements in public.

I go further and go the Apple route and make their own tablets and let everyone else just make android tablets.
