Will an unlocked 920 work on T-mobile?

Hello, I am planning to buy an unlocked Nokia 920, I would like to know if it will work with my carrier which is T-mobile, can i just pop in my current sim card and use it? I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

It's probably only going to get EDGE/2G data however.

I read about re-farmed areas, i live in Chicago and i hear its re-farmed so will i still get EDGE/2G either way?

if its refarmed, i think you'd get 3G then, but its not everywhere and I could be wrong.

I use an unlocked AT&T 920 on T-Mobile and get LTE, or at least what it says is LTE, when it's available.
