Will Ativ S get the Blue 8.1 update?

I'm thinking about buying the Ativ S now since it is fairly competitive by price. But one thing bothers me and that is the 18 month guaranteed update support which will probably end sometime before the 8.1 update is released. Also, Samsung doesn't seem that interested in investing in Windows Phone anymore. So what do you think, will this phone end with GDR3?

Microsoft has gone on record to say that every Windows Phone 8 device will get updates for the Windows Phone platform up to 36 months after first release of the Windows Phone 8 platform. So yeah, you'll definitely be eligible to get the 8.1 update!

The question is whether your specific carrier will release the update for your device. Honestly I don't think you have anything to worry about.
