Will Facebook ever update their apps for W10M?

It's important to scale to mobile friendly size because it's also used by tablets and it's also improtant in order to have many apps open at the same time. You wouldn't want Facebook to work only in full screen so that you can have messenger and/or other apps open simultaneously.

Well, maybe you are right, and this "exactly the same display as one would want on a phone, but slightly larger pixel-wise" look is a happy accident, so that people can multi-task facebook while at work.

Doesn't really matter. Slimsocial is fine on the phone. FB app is fine on the tablet.

Everyone will want UWPs anyway when windows on arm comes out. Eventually anyway. No one wants their apps running under emulation, and users complaining that its slow.

I don't have a problem with FB dropping support but I believe they should tell Windows users what's the case so we can move on and think about what we're going to do. Although it is unacceptable for a billion dollar company to not be able to maintain a single app.
