will installing windows 10 delete any of my computer's current content (i.e. documents)?

i don't know if this is a question that has been asked on here before but i'm guessing it might be; i wanted to know if downloading the new windows 10 would delete any of the content on my laptop's hard drive such as documents, music, images, etc. in all honesty i am not very good at computers, i'm not entirely ignorant but am by no means a tech guru, so if it ended up deleting anything i would be entirely lost as to how to recover it, and although if i really tried i'm sure i could figure such a task out, i have no inclination to try it. so pretty much the summary of this question is should i back up everything that i don't want to lose, or will it all still be there after downloading the new windows 10?

No, it's just an upgrade so ur file are Safe but if u are not convinced then u can do a backup before upgrading
