Will the XBOX One be quiet?

Actually it can be, its not only decibels that affects how you hear something, he said awful hum.
Which is obviously bad enough to affect his enjoyment at night.

He's obviously not the only one, as MS has made a point to say this is something they've tried to rectify this time around, so I'm sure enough people complained about it.

Guess I'll just except his views and any exaggeration he may or may not have made to make his point, although sounded humorous to me

I have owned 6 different 360s and they all have had varying pitch and loudness. The worst was my Modern Warfare 2 console. The best is probably my current Halo 4 console. My launch day PS3 is loud sometimes, but still quieter than all of my old design 360s.

My MW2 console is incredibly loud as well. When it spins up a cd it sounds like its going to take off.

Just a reply to my recent Xbox 360 comment lol, yes comparing it to a set top box might have been a little unfair, but at night theirs no cars or noise etc so it can get awful quiet so the volume i would use during the day would drop considerable as its as i said it get quiet, theirs times i would download a movie and put it on a usb and then play it through my freeview box as their is no noise coming from that, but when i stream a movie from my xbox 360 it can ruin the experience a little its bearable though. All I'm trying to say is that if the XB1 is going to try take up a space in your living room surely you would want it to be completely quiet? As XB1 are implementing so many tv like features only makes sense, if its not quiet i do think a lot of customers wont be to happy with a noise humming for the XB1.

P.s i have my Xbox S in a well aired spot in my room and have taking all the procedures to keep it cool when its starts to heat up. The Xbox 360 S is pretty much quiet with a slight churn of the fan were as the power brick is that bit louder when both combined its annoying. So maybe more so its the actual stupid power brick that needs tweaking ;)
